Our features

Art Therapist

An art therapist is a credential mental health professional who uses creative expression to help people cope with mental health or life challenges. They hold at least a master’s degree and are trained in psychological theory and art media. Art media are the tools and materials used when creating graphic art of any kind or shape. Graphite, Ink, Watercolor, and Brushes are all examples of different art media. Whenever you grab a brush, pencil or even use your finger to do some finger painting, that is an art medium! Through techniques like collage, drawing, and painting, art therapists facilitate self-expression, self-awareness, and coping skills.
Using imagery, colour and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, feelings and thoughts can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate verbally.
